DIY your own sock boots

I saw the designer sock boots first on the Kardashian's, I think they were Kanyes brand and they cost something ridiculous like $600. I was like e mi keh, I can't buy such things, God forbid bad thing ???.Lo and behold I started seeing DIY versions on instagram, that's when I realised that really and truly Warri cannot carry last. I did my research and here is what you need 1. A thick pair of sports socks from here 2. Non slip shoe pads- from here 3. A pair of pointy court shoes from your wardrobe  Step 1 Put the socks over the heels completely Step 2 Cut a hole where the heel is. Make sure the hole is very small, the sock is stretchy and will expand for the heel to come through  Step 3 When happy with the positioning of the sock, peel the back of the shoe pads and stick it on the sock under the shoe. Dass all  You have spent £5 and saved a tonne of money. Thank me later ?. see my look below. These socks all from forever 21 are and will surely be my next projects. Until another time buttercups. Dont forget to tag me on your projects.

Are you ready for spring:Shirt dress update and Spring essentials

Are you guys ready for spring? Or as we know it here in England 'Springter', springy winter. We don't care if snow falls tomorrow, we will still rock our mules and duster coats. A little sunshine and we are already packing away our winter jackets, I always keep one out just in case. But let's pretend it is spring, 18 degrees and sunny everyday..... tarra....it's time for a wardrobe change. What are your spring essentials? My absolute must haves... THE SHIRT DRESS Even if you have one already, go out and get another. The shirt dress has been around since 1726 and is going no where. Invest in a good cotton white shirt dress and you cannot go wrong. You will be rocking this baby in spring and summer and layering it in the winter (don't thank me, send me a cheque) I got mine below from Weekday store. image image image image image image image image image image image If you want to splurge then these are the favourites on my wishlist Marni shirt dress image & other stories image Aganovich shirt dress image The next essential is a ... you guessed it DENIM JACKET I personally like oversize or boxy denim jackets, I also prefer them In a vintage wash. What I will wear to Wimbledon (one day…)

Every year when Wimbledon comes along and my mates are sipping champagne and eating strawberries on centre court, I am out in the shops searching for a new tennis racquet to buy, "this is my year to take up tennis" I tell myself, "I am never too old to be a champion", after all Serena is a good 5 years older than me *straight face*. This year at the ripe age of 25, I decided to give up my dreams of becoming a champion and focus on practicing my centre court style for the year I will finally purchase a ticket to see the tennis action in SW19. I decided to break out the good old shirt dress for this practice run. The shirt dress has been  solving women's fashion dilemmas since 1892. The shirt dress is an absolute classic, if you don't have one of these in your wardrobe, please invest in one. There are countless styles and countless ways to wear them. My look below is a simple look, you know that "I just hammered look", "I hammered and I am rich so I can't be bothered look" lol.                      Boat hat- Camden town £10 Sunglasses- Asos £10 Shirt dress- TK maxx £24.99 Watch - Nixon £100 Leather shorts-Asos £34.99 Shoes - just fab £35 Bag- Primark £6 There are so many styles of shirt dresses to choose from, I hope this helps you make your decision easy. Every lady needs one of these in her wardrobe…

The classic blue oxford shirt. It is seasonless, classic and a good shirt will last you years. You can wear it in the summer and layer it in the winter. This is just a casual outfit I wore to a photoshoot I did on Sunday. Oh loving my white mules too.                 Some of my favourite shirts on the high street are from H&M, River Island and asos below. I really like the long line H&M shirt. I wish I could own them all          I have also seen a trend in blue shirt dresses although they are not as versatile as the oxford shirt but a real good buy if you live in a hot climate (rolls eyes *beef*).          Have a look at how some of our favourite celebs wore it and how you can pair this shirt with a skirt, white, red or yellow jeans. Red is my favourite for a nautical look                  Nuff said, get your oxford shirt and enjoy for years to come. Thank me later. 😂

The tomboy in me…

I was a massive tomboy growing up, always with the guys climbing guava trees, riding bmx bikes, playing football and table tennis. I loved it. All I heard from grown ups around me were "Alero go inside, if you have scars you will not see husband to marry" lol, that is another blog post for another day.  Back to being a tomboy. I remember also in secondary school I will dress up like a boy to do mimes to boys 2 men (ok laugh now and forever hold your peace). I thought those tomboy days were behind me after I became responsible and got married 😂, I am even a mother (over responsiblility is my current situation 😂😭). I find myself still dabbling with boyish clothes because I don't like tight fitting clothes (my perfect figure 8 and chopping board abs have been drawing too much attention to me *damsel in distress*). Here is an oversized outfit I put together, my husband was like at least wear heels naw *rolls eyes*, now he thinks he is Kanye West. Purlese. Lol. What do you think?
