There is a first time for everything.

So at the weekend I went to Bruno Mars concert  by myself, all together now... *awwwww * ?. I'll tell you the story. When these tickets became available for sale a few months ago, I missed out and before I knew it all the tickets had gone. I was devastated, I love Bruno Mars. Fast forward one day before the concert, I found some tickets and this ministered to my spirit, it was meant to be so I decided I was going. I called a few friends and no one wanted to come at such short notice so do you know what I did? I got me, myself and I VIP tickets and went just like that. I thought to myself, what would you regret the most 1. Going to one of the favourite artist's concert on your own or 2. Missing out all together You guessed it, I wasn't going to miss out so I asked my own damn self on a date and you know what? I accepted the date. It felt good because I tell you something now, this was the second best concert I have ever been after the Queen B of course.  Bruno gave us a show to remember. The production was amazing and still had that jazz club live band feel to it. Here is why I had an amazing time with myself 1. We grabbed something to eat before the show and we didn't argue about where to go or what to have, it was like we were in perfect sync ? 2. We got ID'ed  at the bar twice! That's how young and youthful we looked *flicks hair* 3. When Bruno sang "Treasure" we serenaded each other 4. We sang Bruno songs while skipping home holding hands ? It was fun to say the least. Try it next time, take your bougie self on a date and see how you like it. Outfit deets Denim Jacket: Missguided Striped trousers: River Island Earrings HnM (old) Shoes: Newlook

What do these outfits have in common?

...every piece of clothing worn on my top half  are from the men's section of Forever 21 ? (don't shoot me). I would have accepted anything that said "mens shirts" or "oversize shirts". I apologise, I know this an emotional time for you ? but hear me out. Do you ever see brands who cater for both men and women's fashion shamelessly give men more discounts than us ladies? Yes, this still happening in the 21st century, disgusting behaviour I know, HILL-DIOTS ??. On this faithful day I walk into Forever 21 and there was a mini sale going on in the men's section (non for the ladies may I add). I got five items for about £40. You know when Pslam 23 said "thou prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies", this was the exact scenario when  strolled to the counter to pay for my items with the biggest smirk on my face. You pipo don't want me to be great, what am I going to be? You guessed it, GREAT ?. Outfit number 1 I knew I wanted to pair these looks with a feminine touch and what is more feminine than lace. I liked this shirt particularly because it is something you can just wear and go, it is versatile and can be worn with jeans or worn to work even.  Deets: Forever 21 striped shirtboohoo dress now in sale, Zara pumps, moschino bag.    Outfit number 2 This khaki shirt is another easy to wear shirt. I had this lace skirt in mind when I purchased the shirt.  Layering and a touch of pink softened the look. Deets: khaki shirt  (sold out), skirt (old), shoes newlook, bag gift (I will post a link soon), bangles a combo of primark and mango. Outfit number 3 For those who haven't thrown their phones at the TV ??.  This varsity shirt is my favourite. If you know of my tomboy style, you will understand why I love it. Mustard seems to be my fav colour too these days. Deets: Forever 21 Vibes mustard tee, zara skirt (old), shoes dune (old). Moral of the story, don't be scurred of the men's department, when they have a sale, celebrate with their ass ?. Second lesson, I am the Queen of riddles ?. Love you guys and thanks for participating. Until next time buttercups.

Boat party? Yes please

A few months ago friend asked me to help her  with an outfit for a boat party. After hours of questioning our friendship and some serious soul searching for reasons why I wasn't invited to this party, I put my emotions aside and went to work. What would everyone be wearing I  thought? Blue and white with boat shoes? Full sailor outfits like they were going into a submarine to fight for their country? I was going to do the exact opposite as usual.  So anyways in true Alero style I found these trousers on sale at HnM for £11.99 and thought, I better put together my own sailors outfit for a rainy day (ok not rainy rainy, I don't have pawa for ocean swimming biko). I sat at home for many days thinking, any day now someone will invite me to a boat party, any day.... and exactly 133 days later, I invited my own damn self and went on my own damn party with my family who love me unconditionally for who I am ?. I knew I wanted to wear a hat of some kind and not look like I was going golfing in a boat so my all season straw hat sufficed.  I paired this easy to wear shirt from Bershka and sold out high rise white trousers similar here. My bag is vintage from etsy and I got it for £22 which was a bargain. I love my bag and my bag loves me ???. Here is an idea of an outfit I could have rocked if I had more time to prepare. All items listed. Until next time buttercups.  Self portrait lace shirt JD Williams trousers LINK above. Earrings  and bracelet from Wolf and Badger  Kitten heels from Mandarina shoes

Focus on Nigerian designers: Belois Couture

Based in Abuja Nigeria, I am in love with their designs. I saw this dress and had to have it. Designs are easy to wear and very comfortable made with so much attention to detail. This dress  out me N19000 which is about  £40. Very affordable compared to some other designers out there. Other looks I love from Belois catalogue that I absolutely love  It's summer time so I will be featuring more designers from the mother land. Until next time buttercups.
